About this site and its data
Test Centre Stats turns official driving test statistics into one page per test centre. We're independent: not part of DVSA, the RSA or any driving school, and we don't promote test-slot resale or cancellation-bot services.
What's covered
321 DVSA car test centres in Great Britain (290 with enough data to be listed in search engines; the rest carry a notice saying what's missing) and 59 RSA centres in Ireland that delivered car tests in the last year. Northern Ireland's tests are run by the DVA and aren't included.

Centre addresses and coordinates come from GOV.UK's Find a driving test centre and Find a theory test centre. Irish centres are placed at the town they're named after using GeoNames. The map coastline is from Natural Earth (public domain).
Licences
Great Britain data: contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Ireland data: Road Safety Authority, published by the Central Statistics Office, CC BY 4.0. GeoNames: CC BY 4.0. We've reshaped and combined these figures; any errors in doing so are ours, not the publishers'.
Method
- Waiting time is DVSA's median weeks between booking and taking a test, for tests taken in the month. Region and Great Britain figures are DVSA's own (DRT121G), not averages of centres.
- Pass rates are passes divided by tests conducted for the latest financial year. Rankings only include centres with 100 or more tests.
- Change on year compares the latest month with the same month a year earlier.
- Nearby centres are by straight-line distance from published coordinates. The "If your test is booked here" table is DVSA's own list with its driving distances.
- Nearest theory centre is the closest theory test centre (straight line, within 60 km) that DVSA publishes pass rates for.
- Ireland: the 12-month pass rate weights each month's RSA pass rate by tests delivered.
- A centre page is marked noindex when it has fewer than 9 of the last 12 months of waiting times, fewer than 200 tests in the latest year, or no matched address. It still exists for anyone following a link.
Updates
DVSA publishes waiting times monthly, usually in the second week, and centre pass rates once a year. We re-download the files after each release and rebuild every page. This build used DVSA data published 14 October 2026 and RSA data updated 23 October 2026.
